GLOBAL SURF TEAM
Stephanie Gilmore
Stephanie Gilmore
Stephanie has dominated women's professional surfing since she entered the scene in 2007 “ winning a world title as a rookie and following with five titles in as many attempts “ an accomplishment no other surfer, male or female, has achieved in the history of surfing.
Beyond her eight WSL World Titles, Stephanie has 34 elite World Tour victories. For her triumphs, Stephanie has also been awarded both the Laureus World Sports Award in 2010, considered the most prestigious award in action sports worldwide, and has received two ESPN ESPYs for Female Action Sports Person in 2011 and 2013.
Stephanie is considered one of the world's most stylish female surfers- a leader in women's surfing, carving out her own path between the highest competition success and her free surfing abilities.
Q&A WITH STEPH :
Favorite place to travel? All over the world. The more new places I can tick off the list the better.
Best moment in your career?Announcing equal prize pay at WSL and closing the gender pay gap.
Favorite things to do when you're not riding?I love traveling without surfboards, so seeking out new cities especially when it's colder is always so much fun.
Fashion essentials?A great pair of tailored pants with a relaxed sweater. Comfortably cool.
Favorite moment with ROXY?There's been so many, but I especially love surf boat trips with my fellow Roxy Girls. A week at sea, good times with good people.
Lisa Andersen
Lisa Andersen
Lisa Andersen is a legend and the inspiration for the Roxy brand. Her feminine style and athleticism laid the foundation for modern women's surfing in the 1990's, and she's still carrying the torch forward as our worldwide ambassador.
Lisa has been in the limelight since 1986, when she racked up over 30 National Scholastic Surfing Association trophies in under a year. Soon after, Lisa learned how to adapt her explosive and progressive free surfing to the hyper competitive ASP World Tour, leading to the amazing four World Championship titles from 1994-1997.
In 1995, Lisa became the first woman to grace the cover of Surfer Magazine, which also named her one of the "25 Most Influential Surfers of all Time." Sports Illustrated also named her one of the "Top Female Athletes of the 20th Century."
Nowadays, Lisa continues to compete from time to time and remains an icon to everyone who surfs - male or female. She is revered as an inspiration and a pioneer who trail-blazed a path for today's generation of professional women surfers.
Q&A WITH LISA:

Kelia Moniz
Kelia Moniz
With 2 world championship titles, Kelia is one of the most graceful, carefree, and above all, versatile surfers in the world. She's equally fluid off the lip or cross-stepping to the nose, whether she's longboarding or shortboarding.
As a grom, Kelia and her four brothers were dropped off at Waikiki early in the morning and didn't get picked up 'til sundown. By 14, she was not only competing against the world's best in longboarding, but also beating them.
When Kelia is not competing on the WSL World Longboard Tour, she spends her time between Hawaii and New York City. She's known as "Sister" among all the South Shore folk because that's what she's become to the world at large. Sis's biggest goal is to be a "positive influence in women's surfing,". Or in her own words: "I want to help make women's surfing bigger."
Q&A WITH KELIA:
Favorite place to travel? Honolulu, Hawaii is my favorite place to ever travel to!
Best moment in your career? Every time I get to travel with my family to surf.
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? Play with my nieces and nephews ;)

Caroline Marks
Caroline Marks
Caroline grew up in Melbourne Beach, Florida where she learned to surf with her brothers when she was 8 years old. In 2014 she made the move to split her time between Florida and California, making the most of San Clemente’s World class waves and year-round surf, helping to improve her technique.
At 15, she became the youngest surfer ever to qualify for the women’s Championship Tour and was named "rookie of the year".
Caroline may be young but she has already proven her abilities. She starts her strong season 2019 by winning for the first time one WCT the Boost Mobile Pro Gold Coast. It’s easy to understand why Caroline Marks has been dubbed the “Next World Champion.”
Q&A WITH CAROLINE:
Favorite place to travel? Fiji!

Mainei Kinimaka
Mainei Kinimaka
With the ocean being the backdrop for some of her earliest memories, Mainei’s childhood was filled with
surf and sand.
Growing up on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai, Mainei and her sister Maluhia learnt to surf as soon as they could swim. Stoking their passion for the sport and encouraging progression was her father, big wave legend, Titus Kinimaka. From longboards to shortboards, stand up paddling and tow in surfing, Titus made sure the Kinimaka sisters always managed to find new respect for boardriding and how much there is to love about the ocean.
Finding her competitive spirit at an early age, Mainei claimed early competitive wins at the Irons Brothers Pine Trees Classic, giving her the opportunity to spend a little time with one of her idols, Andy Irons.
Today Mainei travels the world with ROXY to discover unique landscapes, surf the best waves and meet new and fascinating people.
Q&A WITH MAINEI:
Favorite place to travel? Australia.
Best moment in your career? Getting barreled in the Mentawais!
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? Hiking and exploring the mountains at home on Kaua’i.

Better known as “Aunty Megz”, Megan Godinez started surfing when she was 4 and has been hooked ever since. Megz grew up surfing in the beautiful waters of Waikiki Beach. When the waves go flat, you’ll find her in the gym, perfecting her boxing skills, playing the guitar or fishing with her nieces and nephews.
Q&A WITH MEGAN:
Favorite place to travel? Maldives
Favorite things to do when not surfing? Fishing/diving/hanging with friends
Fashion essentials? I always have to have my rings on.
Favorite moment with Roxy? Getting to do my introduction video in Australia with one of my best friends.
Vahine Fierro
Vahine Fierro
Vahine was born in Tahiti. Growing up extremely close to her family, her parents taught her how to surf when she was just 2! By the age of 5 it was clear that she was gifted. Her two sisters Heimiti and Kohai are also ROXY girls: it’s a family affair!
Vahine started competing late, at the age of 14 because she used to hate contests. Her dad encouraged her, seeing her surf at the same level as competing surfers and she eventually grew to love it. With no high-school in her home island of Huahine, young Vahine had to move to Tahiti at the age of 14, where she started to surf beach break waves, more adapted to competitive surfing. ROXY saw her talent and signed her at the age of 15 as she started to get local results.
In 2017, she graduated from high-school and ROXY offered her the opportunity to join the Quiksilver boys in Europe to compete in the Juniors. In January 2018, she won the World Junior Championship in Australia, as a wild card, which she still considers the best result of her life.
Her absolute role model is Stephanie Gilmore: “Since she came to my island, I fell in love! Her is a pure, kind champion, I adore her”
Q&A WITH VAHINE:
Favorite place to travel? Definitely Morocco
Best moment in your career? Winning the World Junior Champion in Australia was the greatest moment in my career so far!
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? I love to dance! I also love to go hiking in my hometown and to cook for my loved ones.

Favorite moment with ROXY? I love all my moments with my ROXY sister but being in Noosa (Australia) with Kelia Moniz and Lisa Andersen still stands out as my favourite moment.
Bronte Macaulay
Bronte Macaulay
Bronte grew up and learned how to surf at age 9 in the surf-abundant region of Margaret River (Western Australia), under the expert guidance of her father Dave, an iconic professional surfer from the 80s and 90s. It was therefore almost inevitable that Bronte Macaulay would pursue the chance to carve out a career in competitive surfing.
Bronte has now been one of the 15 best female surfers in the world since 2015, performing on both the QS circuit and the CT.
Q&A WITH BRONTE:
Favorite place to travel? Fiji.
Best moment in your career? Qualifying for the World tour!
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? Cooking, camping and watching movies.
Fashion essentials? High waisted jeans, hats and beach dresses.
Favorite moment with ROXY? Staying with ROXY when I was just a grom on the Gold Coast and meeting some of my heroes such as Lisa Anderson and Steph Gilmore.
Chloe Calmon
Chloe Calmon
Chloe grew up surrounded by the ocean.
Her father, a longtime surfer, was the one to introduce her to the water and the world of water sports.
She fell in love with the sport, finding great interest and challenge in surf’s ability to push her to overcome her limits.
At 14, Chloe became a professional longboarder, joining the WSL Women’s Longboard Tour in 2010.
Four years later, she made it to the 3rd place in the GoPro World Longboard Championship, joining Kelia Moniz in the event’s top 3.
Since then, it’s been a constant elevation for Chloe who quickly made a name for herself as one of the best professional longboarders in the world. 2019 may well be the year for her, with two wins and one second place on the Tour thus far.
Q&A WITH CHLOE:
Favorite place to travel? Australia.
Best moment in your career? 2019 has been the best moment in my career...
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? Travel, always! And quality time with my friends and family.
Fashion essentials? White T-shirt, black skinny jeans, mom jeans and a good and stylish pair of sneakers.
Favorite moment with ROXY? Meeting new people and making new friends. I met ROXY longboarder Zoé Grospiron last year on a ROXY trip, and now we are best friends!
Zoe Grospiron
Zoe Grospiron
Zoe was born in the French Alps, first experiencing riding on skis. At age 12, her family moved down to the South West of France, in Anglet, a town famous for its beach break. There, Zoe was initiated to the world of surfing by her stepfather, Leny. A year into the sport, she drifted towards longboard: “I fell in love with longboard as soon as I tried it. I was fascinated by Kelia Moniz’s style and her take on the sport.”
Four years later, her results speak for themselves: 3rd at the 2015 and 2016 French Championships, 2nd in 2017.
Today Zoe, combines surfing and studies: she has just returned to business school and stood on the second step of the podium at the 2020 European Championships.
Q&A WITH ZOE:
Favorite place to travel? My favourite place to travel is Australia. I fell in love with that beautiful country, charmed by the landscapes and the waves and felt all the positives energies. I have so much to see and I am sure that each place has its own thing that makes you love it.
Best moment in your career? The best moment in my career was simply finding out who I am and what I wanted in life!
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? I love food and health so I really like to take time to cook healthy meals, read and learn about body/mental health, care and fitness. I also like to spend time with my family and to work out.
Fashion essentials? As a surfer, my bikinis are my fashion essentials! Comfy, easy and trendy... all I need!
Favorite moment with ROXY? I have two favourite moments with ROXY. The first one was in France, in 2018 during the ROXY Pro! I met Kelia Moniz -my favourite longboarder- and spent a week with all the ROXY Girls! We had so much fun. The other one was in Noosa, surfing with the ROXY family all day long during 2 weeks! It’s such a good vibe and I really appreciated this sisterhood!
Bruna Schmitz
Bruna Schmitz
Bruna Schmitz turns heads both in and out of the water. Her big backhand hits and stylish forehand snaps equally match her natural, Brazilian poise as a model. She put in two years on the elite World Tour in 2009 and 2010.
Bruna grew up surfing a long, right hand wave in the small town of Matinhos, Brazil. By the age of 14, Bruna was already the youngest athlete to win a professional event in Brazil. She kicked off her pro career at the age of 15, traveling and competing internationally.
Bruna is set on using her role model status to create fun, recreational opportunities for Brazil's less-fortunate youth.
Today, Bruna has stopped competing but her passion for surfing is still present. She alternates with grace between single fins, longboard or twin fins.
Q&A WITH BRUNA:
Favorite place to travel? I love the tropics & islands, Hawaii is a fav since its the closest tropical island to me, but I love going to Fiji and the Mentawaiis in Indonesia.
Best moment in your career? Winning events is an amazing feeling. I no longer compete but I definetly hold on to the moment I did. Travelling the world shooting roxy campaigns with my best friends is also pretty special.
Favorite things to do when you’re not riding? I love cooking with my husband, hosting my friends and travelling.
Fashion essentials? Maxi dresses & hats
Favorite moment with ROXY? We recently did a boat trip to the mentawaiis shooting spring 2020 and it will be one for the books. We had such an amazing time, scored really fun waves, and spent some quality time together. We barely had any service the whole trip and that was amazing!
Monyca Eleogram
Monyca Eleogram
Monyca remembers calling her home break in Hana the "mysterious beyond," because she never seemed to make it to the lineup. Many years and accomplishments later, Monyca has undoubtedly "made it". At fourteen, Monyca's athleticism culminated, and she solidified her place in the professional world of surfing. She represented Hawaii at the '05 and '06 Quiksilver World Junior Pro and qualified for the 2007 NSSA National Finals.
However, Monyca sees surfing as something that goes beyond the competitive elements. Monyca's self-proclaimed greatest achievement is not her success as an athlete. Instead, she sees it as spending time with people she loves, and having a job that lets her surf everyday. Her life philosophy, which she embodies to a T, is "do what you love."
Monyca married her childhood sweetheart and best fried Ola on her family property in 2013. When Monyca is not modeling and traveling with the Roxy surf team she works with her husband Ola on their organic fruit farm in Hana, Maui.

Kelis Kaleopaa
Kelis Kaleopaa
Kelis Kaleopa’a is a Hawaiian surfer, born and raised on the island of O’ahu. She has been gliding across waves since she was a baby and over the years her passion and drive for surfing has only gotten stronger. She loves being in the water and all things ocean related! Off the waves, she loves to hang outat the beach with her friends and to discover new recipes to try out. Family is everything to her and she spends as much time as possible with her loved ones.
Q&A WITH KELIS:
Favorite place to travel? I love visiting Japan: the people are so kind, the food is amazing and they have such a rich history and culture!
Best moment in your career? That would probably have to be my first WSL win at Noosa in March of 2020!
Fav things to do when not surfing? I’m a total water baby, but I do love searching up new recipes and trying them in the kitchen!
Fashion essentials? Sunglasses, hat and a cute bikini!

Izzi Gomez
Izzi Gomez
Isabella « Izzi » Gomez is a professional surfer & waterwoman. A five-times stand-up-paddling World Champion, Izzi has made strides in her sport.
In January 2021, Izzi surfed some of the world’s most impressive waves at Jaws, before taking part in the ISA World Surfing Games in May.
That same year, an injury sidelined her for the rest of the season, putting a temporary halt to her dreams. But Izzi is now back in the race and ready to make waves.
And for her future? She dreams of winning at Jaws and riding increasingly big waves in the WSL big waves tour.
Q&A WITH IZZI :
What does it mean to you to become a ROXY Girl?
Becoming a ROXY girl is my childhood dream come true! Growing up, ROXY had such an impact on me and the way I saw surfing. To me the brand represents fun, sisterhood, heart and strong powerful women. I’m so stoked to be a ROXY Girl
Who were your heroes growing up?
Growing up in Florida my hero’s were Florida natives Lisa Andersen and Kelly Slater!
What would you like to tell young girls who dream to become professional athletes one day?
Be kind to yourself and follow your heart. Trust the process because everyone has their own path and timing.
Could you tell us about a personal example of pushing hard for your dreams?
Pushing hard for my dreams has challenged me both physically, and mentally. After the best winter I have had so far, I found myself enduring a serious injury to my hip. Then, I finally made the decision to get the surgery needed to ensure a long, healthy career. Over the past few months, I have worked harder than ever to make sure I come back stronger, and better than before.
Which ROXY Girls do you most looking forward to riding with?
I’m really looking forward to surfing with Lisa Andersen, Betty Lou sakura Johnson, Steph Gilmore and Kelia moniz. All of these women are so inspiring!
What are your dreams for the next 5 years?
My dreams for the next 5 years would definitely have to be getting barreled at jaws, becoming big wave world champion and giving the qualifying / challenger series a good run! I’d really love to explore more big wave spots and get comfortable in different lineups. Overall I just want to continue to do what makes me happy and be the best version of myself.
What are your hopes for the future of women in surfing?
It’s so cool because a lot of the things I hoped to see in womens surfing are on the table now such as equal pay, the chance for the women to compete at the same waves as the men and the rise of the next generation. That being said I just hope the industry will continue to build off this momentum and give the women the opportunities they deserve.
Francisca Veselko
Francisca Veselko
Francisca “Kika” Veselko was born in Irvine, California in 2003 but raised in Portugal. Born to surfer parents, a native Portuguese mom and native Californian father, she was able to experience homes in equally renowned surf locations. She began to surf when she was 6 years old.
Her dream is to qualify for the World Tour and be a World Champion. She knows it’s going to be a long journey but is willing to do everything it takes to achieve her dream!
She spent the 2018/19 school year in Huntington Beach, California where she had ambitions to study and compete against the best girls in the USA.
